The 8-fold braided line Shimano Kairiki 8 has been revised and improved. The cord produced in Japan is now manufactured using a special braiding technology, the "VT construction method". It is a very strong and smooth PE cord that is perfect for throwing long distances. It is available in diameters ranging from 0.06mm to 0.42mm with an amazing breaking strength of 100 lbs. It has the perfect properties for spin fishing in both fresh water and salt water, as it is very sensitive and smooth, which also greatly reduces noise. In addition to the colours light green and steel grey, two other colours are now available. A highly visible yellow and multicolour now complement the colour palette. The multicolour is particularly interesting for fishing at larger depths. Due to the smoothness and small diameter, the Kairiki 8 is a great line for jigging as it has low water resistance and is very sensitive due to the maximum stretch of <3.0%.
