• Each piece is dyed by hand using traditional techniques. As a handmade item, colors may vary slightly depending on temperature and humidity during production. The 100% natural hand-spun hemp fabric may feature natural unevenness or dark lines, which are inherent characteristics of the material.
• How to display: The tapestry can be hung individually or grouped together with other pieces.
• Expression of traditional colors: Dyes and specific tools, including dyeing brushes, machines, and tenter machines, are sourced from Japan to authentically reproduce traditional Japanese colors.
• Original designs: LECIEL JAPAN's products are newly released in accordance with the seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter. All designs are original and planned at our head office in Kyoto. Our staffs are trained to produce high quality patterns that cannot be imitated by other companies.
• Production capacity of hemp fabrics: Most hemp fabrics sold in Japan today are made in China. However, as in Japan, the number of weavers in China has been decreasing due to economic development. Therefore, LECIEL JAPAN established our own hemp fabric weaving factory in 2011. We would like to support the disappearance of traditional crafts from the world, even if it is only a small contribution.
